Fusion roots with a pop flair and ambient undertones. Instrumental. Interesting and unexpected rhythms. Composed and performed entirely by Matt, Thing of It Is, is Matt's first solo work.

Style and influence
Matt is a guitarist who cut his ears on Jimi and Jeff, and developed his depth studying  masters like McLaughlin and Holdsworth. His playing has restrained sensibility with appropriate explosiveness.  His compositions reflect those same qualities over interesting time signatures and rhythmic exploration. His approach to harmonic and melodic content is thoughtful and intense, even romantic. Matt's influences include Zappa, Beatles, Miles, Fripp, Debussy.
